Praise Focus-God’s Generous Gift
JOHN SHIRK – Today’s Praise Focus comes from Second Corinthians 9, verse 7.
“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
God delights in cheerful giving from a willing heart. As we are generous with God’s blessings, His name is honored. Verse 13 says that others will praise God for our generosity in sharing with them.
Cheerful giving is possible as we remember the generous ways that God has blessed us through Jesus Christ. John 3:16 tells us that God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
God’s generous gift toward us is a reason to praise Him in the Year of Focus.
