Praise Focus-Son of God

JOHN SHIRK – Today’s Praise Focus comes from Matthew 14:32 and 33.

Referring to Jesus and Peter, “when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, ‘Truly you are the Son of God.’”

The men in the boat were disciples of Jesus. They had just witnessed Jesus and Peter walking on the water in windy conditions. They had seen Jesus demonstrate His command over the wind and the waves. They saw Jesus multiply a boy’s lunch into a feast for 5,000 people. Jesus was doing extraordinary miracles, which led the disciples to believe and acknowledge Jesus as the Son of God.

Knowing Jesus as the Son of God is a reason to praise Him in the Year of Focus.
