Praise Focus-The Blood of Jesus
JOHN SHIRK – Today’s Praise Focus comes from Revelation chapter 1, verses 5b and 6.
“To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father-to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.”
Our true liberty depends on what Jesus did for us at the cross when He shed His blood for our sins. He took our guilt upon Himself so that we might be set free to serve God with a heart of praise. That is the ultimate sacrifice in human history where true love was displayed in a powerful way-powerful enough to redeem us and give us a place in His household of faith forever.
The blood of Jesus, shed for our sins, is a reason to praise God in the Year of Focus.
