5) Lancaster’s First Friday – tonight 5-9pm. Art Exhibits, performances, music. Over 70 diverse arts venues. More info at www.lancasterarts.com .

4) The Lancaster Central Market Renovation Celebration – tonight and tomorrow (Friday and Saturday, May 6, 7) food, festivities, & fun. Visit the Lancaster Central Market Facebook page for more info.

3) A Bookfair benefitting Isabel’s Hope Endowment will be held at Barnes & Noble Bookstore in Lancaster tomorrow (Saturday, May 7th) 9am-11pm. This event is sponsored by the Elizabethtown College Education Club.  Throughout the day Elizabethtown College students will provide crafts and activities for children and local musical groups Matt and Kim Goss, Mark Rineer, The Hempfield High School Chamber Singers and Phredd will perform.  More info at Facebook.

2) Lancaster Artwalk, tomorrow (Saturday, May 7) 10am to 5:00pm, in Downtown Lancaster. This bi-annual event celebrates the eclectic mix of independent galleriesin downtown Lancaster. 5) Family Fun Day tomorrow (Saturday) 11-2pm at the BlueBall Church of the Brethren with Jim Rule live.  Popcorn & balloons, inflatables, games and prizes for all ages.  More info at blueballbrethren.org.

4) Celebrate The Son! tonite (April 29th) and tomorrow (Sat. April 30th) at Lancaster Bible College. Free Event.
Both days feature contemporary and traditional worship and performing arts including . “His Image”, “Freely Bound”, “Kimberliana”, LBC Chorale, Chamber Singers, LBC Symphonic Band and Orchestra. More Info: www.lbc.edu

3) “Go Fly A Kite!” Day, tomorrow (Saturday, April 30)

FIVE FUN FREE FAMILY THINGS TO DO THIS WEEKEND!!! April 15, 16 and 17, 2011

5) Gateway Church Elk Creek will host a free Helicopter Egg Drop for children ages 2-11 tomorrow (Sat. April 16th) at 3PM at the Oxford Area High School soccer field.

4) The Mennonite Children’s Choir of Lancaster will perform tomorrow night (Sat. April 16th) at at 7PM at Landis Valley Christian Fellowship in Lancaster . A free will offering will be taken.

3) A Free Amphibian Walk led by KCB Critter Correspondent Jesse Rothacker, sponsored by the Lancaster Herpetological Society tonight (Fri Apr 15). Frog and Toad meeting starts at North Museum in Lancaster Tonight at 7 PM and the walk will begin around 8:30. Flashlights and boots are a must for the mud, and hip waders are recommended. 2) Incredible Rewards is hosting their Special Needs Egg Hunt tomorrow (Sat. April 16th) at 4PM at Newville First Church of God in Newville. There is an area for children in wheel chairs, children who are visually impaired, children who are not walking and all children in between. Buddies will be provided.

5) Lancaster Mennonite High School will host the Mennonite Schools Council Regional Band and Orchestra Festival  with a public concert tonite (Friday Feb 25) at 7PM.  The concert is free but an offering will be taken.

3) Sunday – the Movie – Letters To God presented by MBIC Cancer Support Network at 6PM at Manheim Brethren In Christ Church. A free will offering will be taken to benefit a local family battling cancer.

2) String and Piano duo Muzette in Concert
