Praise Focus-Message of the Cross
JOHN SHIRK – Today’s Praise Focus comes from John 12:32.
Jesus said, “And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”
Jesus said this to show the kind of death he was going to die. He would be crucified on a cross. What was meant to be an insult of shame by the accusers of Jesus has become a badge of honor for His followers.
The Apostle Paul said in Galatians 6:14, “May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.”
According to First Corinthians 1:18, “The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to those who are saved, it is the power of God.”
The message of the cross is a reason to praise God in the Year of Focus.
