Looks like it.
KRISTI LEIGH — Look what Eddie drew! Chris and Conrad found it randomly and tweeted it. Then, I found it (also randomly) on their website and we talked about it today in an interview. https://wjtl.com/listen/wjtl-casts/ I’ll let Eddie explain why he doodled them a little later…so keep an eye on his blog!
For reference, here’s a photo of the guys:
Kristi Leigh — WJTL DJ who would gladly welcome super-fun Christian rock duo Chris and Conrad live in the studio any day of the week!

KRISTI LEIGH — So, what do John Mark McMillan, Unhindered and Kari Jobe have in common? They’re all first-timers at this year’s Creation Festival! And I interviewed all of them today about their expectations and much more. Go ahead and listen in on our conversations at the WJTL Casts page! https://wjtl.com/listen/wjtl-casts/ And for all things Creation 2010, go to http://www.creationfest.com/

KRISTI LEIGH – As we get closer and closer to Creation, I get more and more excited to see Switchfoot! Today I checked out their latest video podcast and just had to share it with you… Enjoy!

KRISTI LEIGH – I’ve been a Dave Barnes fan for years and am very excited that we’ve been playing his new song “God Gave Me You” on WJTL lately. Dave is a pastor’s kid from Mississippi who went to college to further his drum-playing studies–and for fun, started playing guitar and writing songs! He’s been at it for a while now, and is finally getting some national radio play! (We used to play Dave Barnes on the Audiolab since his music has always been cool!) This guy is full of life, incredibly silly and super talented! Check out videos below to see Dave telling the story behind his new song and to see him play it acoustically. But to get to know his silly side, I’ve also included a couple of his random videos… Enjoy!

KRISTI LEIGH – I was catching up on some blogs I subscribe to, when I came across this one from Bob Kauflin (GLAD member and Sovereign Grace worship leader.) His blog is “Worship Matters.” http://www.worshipmatters.com/
Bob writes about how he was watching a You Tube video of an animation to the Sovereign Grace song “Prodigal” from “Sons & Daughters”–and how capitivated and unexpectedly moved he was by it. And of course I was interested–he was speaking my language: worship and cartoons! Well, not really typical cartoons…it’s more artistic than that; but still, great combo! However, as I read on, I realized even more personal connections. The animation was done by Chris Powers, who recently graduated from Cedarville University, of which I am a proud alumnus! Way to go, Mr. Powers! The song alone is beautiful; full of restoration and redemption. The video just takes it all to a new level! This animation is really powerful!

I just read the latest blog from John Mark McMillan (original writer of the big hit song “How He Loves”) about one of the most interesting bands in worship today. I was thrilled that it was Gungor! (Formerly called the Michael Gungor Band.) I’ve been so into their latest project ever since it released, and to see that they’re getting some support is really nice. In fact, support is putting it gently, they’re touring with John Mark McMillan!
Here’s a video to introduce you to Gungor:

Jimmy Needham called today! He was doing a whole day of radio interviews to talk up his new CD “Nightlights”, which releases on May 18th. I was thrilled for my first Jimmy Needham interview! Did you know he got his start at a Talent Show? It’s true! Click below to hear him tell his story!
