Focus on God’s Goodness-Wisdom and Understanding

JOHN SHIRK – Today’s Focus on God’s Goodness is found in Ephesians 1:8 and 9.

“With all wisdom and understanding, he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ.”

Understanding of God’s will flows out of a relationship with Jesus. He gives us greater clarity for living a life that pleases God.

Jesus taught us that the Greatest Commandment was to love the Lord our God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength.

Jesus taught us the Great Commission, to make disciples of all nations and baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

These are some of the big picture plans that God has for us to do with the breath and strength that He gives us.

Wisdom and Understanding reveal the Goodness of God and are reasons to give thanks in the Year of Gratitude.
