God Quote-Have You Considered My Servant?

JOHN SHIRK – In the Year of God’s Word, this is what the LORD says in Job chapter 1, verse 8.

“Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.”

God said this to Satan, who had been roaming throughout the earth.

The devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. He plots harm, tempts us to sin, and seeks to separate us from God so that we might be swallowed into his dominion of darkness. Satan is not the only one who roams the earth.

Second Chronicles 16:9 tells us that the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. The devil preys on the worst in us, but God looks for the best in us. He notices our exceptional qualities of faithfulness and works in our lives to build an even stronger faith. That is what he did in the life of **Job, and that is what He can do for us.
