God Quote-He Will Tell Them Everything I Command Him

JOHN SHIRK – In the Year of God’s Word, this is what the Lord says in Deuteronomy 18:18.

Moses told the Israelites what the LORD said to him, “I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites, and I will put my words in his mouth. He will tell them everything I command him.”

This prophecy referring to Jesus was confirmed by Peter in Acts 3:22. Jesus was in perfect submission to the Father’s plan, and spoke the words that His Heavenly Father directed Him to speak. Jesus upheld righteousness with His words. He came to bless us by turning each of us from our wicked ways, and so, we are wise to heed His voice.

Jesus also upheld graciousness with His words. He invites us to come to Him and learn from Him. In His grace, we find rest for our souls.
