God Quote-Jesus at the Door Knocking

JOHN SHIRK – In the Year of God’s Word, this is what the Lord says in Revelation 3:20.

To the church at Laodicea, Jesus said,

“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.”

This is a knock on the door of a church that was feeling self-sufficient. They were relying on themselves and their wealth rather than Jesus. However, Jesus was giving them an opportunity to change their mind and depend on Him. Jesus does that with us too when we become lukewarm to the Gospel. His knock is an invitation to open the door of our heart to Jesus and experience sweet fellowship with Him forever. That is where we find lasting fulfillment and true contentment.
