God Quote-Light for the Gentiles

JOHN SHIRK – In the Year of God’s Word, this is what the Lord says in Acts 13:47,

“I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.”

Two influential church leaders, Paul and Barnabas said that this was the Lord’s command to them. They would share the testimony of Jesus with the Gentiles and see the fruit of their labor expand around the world. Acts 13:48 says that when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and honored the word of the Lord; and all who were appointed for eternal life believed.

Paul lived with the conviction that the Gospel is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes-for Jews and Gentiles. This is a relevant message for each one of us to embrace and to share with those who need God’s saving grace.
