God Quote-Light of the World

JOHN SHIRK – In the Year of God’s Word, this is what the LORD says in Matthew 5:14 to 16.

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Jesus made this statement in the Sermon on the Mount. As we follow Jesus, He gives us a light to shine to the world. The love of Jesus is the spark that ignites our faith into action with good deeds that glorify God.

What can we do today to serve someone in need? This is a good question to ask ourselves daily as we reflect the light of Jesus and point people to His saving grace.
