Praise Focus-God’s Kingdom
JOHN SHIRK – Today’s Praise Focus comes from Hebrews 12:28.
“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe.”
One of the lessons of faith that we learn from the book of Daniel is that earthly kingdoms rise and have their season to thrive. But they do not last forever. Eventually, they fall. One of the most powerful leaders in Daniel’s day was the king of Babylon, who was driven from his throne in a season of insanity. His name was Nebuchadnezzar. When his sanity was restored, he praised the Most High, saying, “His dominion is an eternal dominion; his kingdom endures from generation to generation.”
God’s kingdom will never end. Jesus reigns on the throne. His faithful followers will enjoy the peace and security of knowing Him and worshiping Him forever.
God’s Everlasting Kingdom is a reason to praise Him in the Year of Focus.
