Prayer Focus-One Thing

JOHN SHIRK – In the Year of Focus, we take a look at one thing that David requested from the LORD.

In Psalm 27:4, David wrote, “One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.”

In her song, “More Than Anything”, Natalie Grant offers this heartfelt prayer, seeking a relationship with Jesus as her precious treasure.

“Help me want the Healer, more than the healing.  Help me want the Savior, more than the saving. Help me want the Giver, more than the giving. Oh help me want You, Jesus, more than anything.”

The one thing that David requested from the LORD is worth examining for a faith-focused life.
