Then Sings My Soul: Beloved Hymns & Songs Inspired by the Ministry of Billy Graham

August 28th, 2022 No comments

Join us at historic Summit Grove Camp for an experience that is sure to take you right back in time!

This event is free and open to the public. A free-will offering will be accepted following the program. For more information, please visit www.thensingsmysoulpa.com.

Then Sings My Soul is an original touring musical program featuring over 30 hymns, their histories and their connection to the life and ministry of Billy Graham. Featuring professional vocalists from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, live musical accompaniment and original and inspiring arrangements, these hymns are re-inspired for a new generation and sure to encourage and touch your soul.
Enjoy favorites such as How Great Thou Art, I’d Rather Have Jesus, This Ole’ House, His Eye is on the Sparrow and Amazing Grace. There’s even a couple of old-fashioned hymn sings, just like in the “good old days”!

Touring since 2018, over 8,000 people have now had the opportunity to experience Then Sings My Soul. They have had the privilege of performing across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Dollywood Theme Park and the DreamMore Resort in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

In today’s modern world, where organs, pews and hymnals are practically a thing of generations past, we seek to not just entertain audiences, but educate them on hymns and their rich history, as well as honor the memory of Billy Graham, whose life mission was to let people know that, “God loves you.”

Moment Of Celebration-Prayer and Praise

January 15th, 2014 No comments

JOHN SHIRK – Today’s Moment of Celebration reflects on the power of prayer and praising God.

Paul and Silas were in prison. They had been stripped and beaten and carefully guarded. Their feet were in stocks.

That is the setting when they do something amazing. About midnight, Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God. The other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a violent earthquake, which shook the foundations of the prison. The prison doors swung wide open, and everybody’s chains came loose.

This incident led to the conversion of the jailer, who believed in the Lord Jesus and was saved.

Paul and Silas could have responded differently. They could have had a pity party. They could have been feeling despair. We might understand why under the circumstances. However, they were praying and praising God, and He opened up more doors for them to be an effective witness for Jesus.

Look for God to open up doors of opportunity as you seek Him with all your heart and praise Him with all your strength.

The power of prayer and praising God are reasons to be glad in the Year of Celebration.
