Word from God’s Word-Ambassador
JOHN SHIRK – Today’s Word from God’s Word is “Ambassador.”
An ambassador is a diplomat in a foreign land, representing their leader on a mission of peace.
This is a good description of the person who follows Jesus. This world is not our home. We are serving the King of Kings in a foreign land, representing Jesus on a peacemaking mission. That is a high calling, and a privilege to serve in such a way.
The Apostle Paul said in Second Corinthians 5:20, “We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.”
Representing Jesus is a mission of peace to share why Jesus came to the earth. We have good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today, in the town of David a Savior has been born to you. He is the Messiah, the Lord.
