Word from God’s Word-Overflow

JOHN SHIRK – Today’s Word from God’s Word is “Overflow.”

One definition of this word is “to flow over the brim.” Water overflows when it fills a container and then spills over the top.

The word “Overflow” shows us how contagious the Gospel can be when God’s love fills the hearts of His people and spills over into our relationships.

An overflowing faith will reveal the evidence of true generosity, thanksgiving, and joy in the Lord.

Another quality that springs from faith is hope. The Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 15:13, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
