Lancaster Bible College‘s Touch-A-Truck event is back this weekend!  Once again, LBC’s Athletic Department presents a fun-filled day of learning about and interacting with some of the largest vehicles in our community.  It’s happening this Saturday, May 27th from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

You and your family are invited to LBC’s campus to see, touch, and learn about fire trucks, earth movers and more!  There will be lots of of family-friendly activities for everyone to enjoy!  All proceeds benefit LBC Athletics and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central PA.

Adults (18+) are free and do not require a ticket. There is no charge for children 12 months and younger.  Tickets will be available at the event.

On Monday, Stacey and Lisa attended the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters Excellence in Broadcasting Awards Luncheon held at Hotel Hershey.  Various awards are given out in categories for Television and Radio.   Lisa accepted the award for Outstanding Station Sponsored Event for Kids Cookie Break Fest.

The weather is warming up and BBQ season is here.  Fun fact: The Guinness-Book-of-Records-certified world’s largest chicken BBQ happens right here in our backyard: the 65th annual Sertoma Chicken BBQ! It’s a full smokey Saturday of barbecued chicken-y goodness at Long’s Park in Lancaster, happening this year on May 20th. The 2017 menu features a half chicken barbecued in special sauce—plus, items from Herr’s, Turkey Hill, Hershey’s, Pepperidge Farm, Cherry Hill Orchard and Kegel’s Produce.

WJTL and Kids Cookie Break will be live on location!  Look for us at the Family Fun Zone.  We’ll be near the baseball fields and Park City Tunnel entrance.
