Vital Step to a Radiant Faith-Praise God

June 28th, 2023 No comments

JOHN SHIRK – In the Year to Shine, today’s Vital Step to a Radiant Faith is to praise God for His awesome wonders.

In the days of Moses, the Israelites saw miracles from God’s hand. Yet, they struggled with idolatry, immorality, and lack of faith.

God remained faithful to His Word on their journey. Just before they entered the Promised Land, Moses urged the Israelites to get ready for the land and get right with God.

In Deuteronomy 10:21, Moses told the people, “He is the one you praise; he is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes.”

This is a good reminder for our faith also. Remember God’s great and awesome wonders-the cross, the empty grave, and the evidence of God’s love in the nail-scars of Jesus. This is one of God’s purposes for our lives-to declare the praises of him who called us out of darkness into his wonderful light.

Praising God for His awesome wonders is a vital step to a Radiant Faith that makes a difference in our world.

Daily Challenge-Praise God For Changed Lives

June 24th, 2021 No comments

JOHN SHIRK – In the Year of Endurance, today’s Daily Challenge motivates us to praise God for changed lives.

In the early church, Saul was a dangerous man. He actively sought to persecute Christians. But one time, when he was on such a mission to Damascus, he had an encounter with Christ which led to his miraculous conversion.

When Saul’s eyes were opened to the Gospel, he responded by faith and became a leader in the early church. Notice how the believers in Judea responded to his conversion in Galatians 1:23.

“They only heard the report: ‘the man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.’ And they praised God because of me.”

If we can think of someone who recently came to faith in Christ, we can praise God for the road that they are travelling. Love them, pray for them, be part of building them up in the faith, and celebrate with them.

Take the daily challenge to praise God for changed lives that puts them on the journey of faith.
