Win Downhere’s New CD from WJTL’s Feedback Giveback!
January 2nd, 2012
Here are WJTL, we love when our listeners interact with us at our staff blogs! So, to say thanks, we give away a prize every week to somebody who commented on our blogs. This week’s prize is Downhere’s new CD “On The Altar Of Love”!
downhere is one of the best bands out there and they are often overshadowed by more “commercial” groups like Third Day and Mercy Me. Don’t get me wrong, those bands are also great, but I would put downhere up against them any day of the week.
I totally agree with Derek. Downhere is one of the awesomest bands I have ever heard. I love all of their songs, and totally crank it up when they’re played on the radio! 🙂
I agree with you they are a awesome band but there are so few people who i think know that
Agreed. We were fans of theirs from when they first started out…I forget who they even opened for when we saw them many years back…buth they were quiet humble guys and great to talk with afterwards. No one knew of them at the time…we knew God would use them and He certainly is going to be using one of the band members, Marc Martel, as he embarks on a huge platform as he joins the Queen Tribute band this year. He has a huge opportunity to influence many for Christ.
Ditto the above comments. I had the opportunity to help set up and take down at their recent concert at LBC – right along with the guys!!!! This group is the real deal! They are the nicest guys and have a heart for God. And talk about a servants heart! One of the concert goers accidentally spilled some drink on the floor before the concert and Jason saw a need. He immediately went to get some paper towels to clean it up. Amazing!!!! Gotta love em’.
Congrats to Derk Gates for winning this prize!
I just stared to listen to this station everyday and it keeps me on track with becoming a christian..Thanks
i love downhere as well – one of my favorite songs is “little is much”. it’s awesome to think about what God can do with a small seed that we can plant, even though we sometimes feel insignificant.
