KRISTI LEIGH – Sometimes listeners ask me what I do at WJTL when I’m not DJing; and answering that question always reminds me how much I love my job! When I’m not on the radio, I spend time in our production rooms and on my office duties, which include contest planning (one of my favorite tasks)! We love giving our listeners prizes and brainstorming creative new ways to give stuff away! Eddie and I had a conversation recently about the blogs on our new website and the comments we have been receiving on them, which sparked another contest idea: to award a weekly prize just to say “thanks for commenting!” When it came to naming the contest, Eddie was fast and catchy as always: “Feedback Giveback!” We give back prizes for the feedback you give on our blogs!

Here Are The Contests We Have Planned This Week:

-The Newsboys will finally release “Born Again” this Tuesday.  So tune in to WJTL on Monday, July 12th for a Win-It-Before-You-Can-Buy-It day for Newsboys “Born Again” combo packs!  You could win a Newsboys “Born Again” CD and T-shirt!

-The Purple Door Festival is coming up August 13th and 14th!  That’s 5 weeks away.  We’ll give away Purple Door artist CDs and Purple Door T-Shirt vouchers all day every day Monday through Friday (July 12th – 16th.)

-The Get Up And Go Show’s guest on Thursday, July 15th is Darek Issacs.  We’ll be giving away his book and Cloud Ten Pictures DVD “Dragons Or Dinosaurs (Creation or Evolution)” all day Thursday!

-Starting this week, we are kicking off a new contest called “Feedback Giveback.” Listen for details on how you can win prizes for interacting with us at the new and improved www.WJTL.com!

We asked you to draw a pic of your fave Phredd song and send it to us. We’ve narrowed down the entries (they were all great!) and now it’s up to you to vote on your favorite! The artists of the three pictures below have already won Phredd’s entire Cd and DVD collection. The grand prize winner-which will be announced May 22nd, wins a Lanahki LU21 soprano ukulele with a lightweight protective case and songbook!

EDDIE DANIELS – Well…here it is! What do you think?  Our pal Brian has been working on this new look for WJTL.com for quite a while now, and we hope you like it as much as we do. Personally, I love it!

Have a look around, and let us know what you think! You’ll find all of your favorite features from the old site are still here…they just look a lot cooler now and in many respects are much easier to find. For example, you can now listen live by clicking the little “speaker” icon near the top of the front page instead of clicking through to the old “listen live” page.

You can also stay connected to the Missions Blog and News Blogs (and the blogs of the WJTL gang) from the front page as well. No more having to click through to other sites…it’s all right here!

You can also feel a little safer about watching the JTL videos. All of them are fully viewable right here within the confines of the WJTL site, so you don’t have to worry about 3rd party videos you don’t want to see sneaking their way in.

There are a lot more cool things to discover about the new WJTL website, but we don’t want to give everything away. We’ll let you discover them on your own.

WJTL is looking for talented listeners for our Talent Challenge!  If you sing, juggle, play an instrument or have a zany talent and can perform amazing and entertaining feats, we want YOU to enter!  10 contestants will be chosen to perform their talent on the Weaver’s Garage Stage at the Sertoma Chicken BBQ (at Long’s Park in Lancaster) on Saturday, May 15th!  Those in attendance will vote on their favorite performer–and that person or group will win a fabulous prize package…including A photo shoot from Brooke Courtney Photography and a professional sound system donated by Triumph Expressions, church production and sound!  Individual performers and groups are welcome to enter!

Email your .mp3 or movie file to Contest@WJTL.com or mail your CD or DVD to WJTL, PO Box 1614, Lancaster, PA 17608! Be sure to tell us a little about yourself and your talent when you enter and include your contact information in your entry! Contest entry material (including CDs, DVDs, photos, etc.) will not be returned!
