Ways to Reach Out to Lisa During Her Illness

August 20th, 2013

As many of you know, Lisa Landis was hospitalized on June 26th with a serious bacterial infection.  Many of you have expressed interest in leaving a message for Lisa. This page would be a great way to do that. Simply leave your reply to this message and we will pass your well-wishes along to Lisa and her family.

Some listeners and organizations have also asked about organizing a Get Well card shower for Lisa.  If your church or organization or family is interested in doing that you can send your cards to WJTL, 1875 Junction Road, Manheim, PA 17545 Attn: Lisa Landis, and we will pass them along to Lisa and her family as well.

Additionally, many have been asking about ways to help Lisa during her lengthy illness and Hospital Stay. If you would like to help with Lisa’s Medical & Rehabilitation Expenses, a special fund has been set up.  Please send your gift to…

FULTON BANK: MCGOVERN AVENUE
20 MCGOVERN AVE.
LANCASTER, PA 17602

Please Indicate on your check that this is for the
LISA LANDIS BLOWERS FUND

or call or visit the FULTON BANK branch nearest you.

Thank You!

Lisa, We are so sorry to hear about this infection. You have blessed us and so many others with your dynamic personality! If your smile and enthusiasm for life could heal you, you wouldn’t be in the hospital! Thankfully we have a God who heals! We are praying for His miraculous hand to touch your body! Blessings and much love.

Hi Lisa, I just read about your infection via Facebook, and I wanted to leave a message and let you know I am saying a prayer for your healing. I have been a WJTL listener for over 10 years, and I have always enjoyed listening to the programming and have fond memories of driving home from college for visits and listening to the Kids Cookie Break in the car, even though I was “too old” for it! I pray that you will be encouraged and have hope in this difficult time, and it’s neat to see all of the love and support that your WJTL family and sharing with you, too! Sending love your way!

Lisa I am praying for you as I have experienced a bacterial infection myself, mine was a result of a motorcycle accident in 2009. I am praying for your doctors and surgeons as God uses their healing hands at this time. Hyperbaric Oxygen is an amazing treatment ( I also experienced this) used in healing wounds. God Bless you as you heal, as you have blessed so many while we listen to you on air.

Lisa, you are in my prayers. I have never met you, but between KCB and listening to you and Fred for so long, I almost feel as I know you. Praying God’s peace for you and your family, guidance for your doctors and nurses, His blessing in your recovery.

    Hi Lisa and family,
We are praying really hard for God’s hand of healing to be upon Lisa and to help her overcome this terrible infection. May our Great Physician intervene in her life right now. Just saw some of the positive news since she’s been transferred to the University of Pennsylvania hospital. So glad to hear that the doctors feel that they are getting ahead of the infection! Yay God!

May you and your family feel the support and love and prayers from this community of believers and WJTL listeners who appreciate all of the dedication and care that you’ve given over the years to the listeners of the morning show and the Kid’s Cookie Break. You’re love for God and for people (especially children) really shines through!

The congregation at Chiques Church of the Brethren is also praying for your healing and recovery. May God continue to be with you!

Lisa, I don’t know you personally, but I KNOW you were created by a God who HEALS His children…and yes, even today. He is healing me from cancer as we speak and He is healing YOU from this infection? Why? Because He’s our Daddy and we’re asking Him to, and it is His delight to bless His children. Stay strong and hang onto His hand, because you will look back on this ordeal at some point, hopefully very soon, and praise Him for His healing! We’ve got your back, sister!

    Lisa,
We continue to pray for you. St. Mary’s has you in their prayers. In the sorrowful mysteries, I think about you carrying this cross with your eyes on the Lord. I also think about how in the luminous mysteries, you continue the Proclamation of the Kingdom, sharing His Good News. Know you are never alone. While we do not know why, I know He is there with you and your family! God’s peace.

My heart goes out to you. I have been a WJTL listener for years and many days you have been an encourager, uplifter and an ambassador of God’s love and joy to me. Thank you!

Please allow me to (hopefully:) ) be an encouragement to you.

The main scripture that comes to mind when I am praying for you is “No weapon formed against you can prosper” Isa 54:17. His promises are true. Hold on to them, speak them for there is power in them.

A ministry/ website I have found encouraging, especially when it comes to healing is kcm.org. Look for Gloria Copeland’s “healing school”. You can access many other resources about healing there as well. Another resource I would highly recommend is Pastor Dave Hess’ book called “Hope Beyond Reason”. I realize you may not be feel up to doing this yourself but perhaps your family may feel led to explore them.

I am praying for you often for a complete recovery. “By Christ’s stripes you are healed!”

    Hi Lisa!

I am happy to hear the doctors feel they are getting ahead of the infection. I know our Lord is way ahead of the infection and the doctors. I am praying for our Lord to give your doctors guidance in all they do to diagnose and treat you.

Although I have never met you in person, you are a joy and a delight to know via the Get Up and Go show in the morning and the Kids Cookie Break! Yes, I am an adult and luv your show! You do such an outstanding job, Lisa! Its easy to sense that our Lord has blessed MANY children through you on KCB and adults too with the morning show!

I REALLY MISS YOU on the radio, Lisa! Please know that I pray for WJTL daily but also am lifting you up throughout the day along with your family.

I thank the Lord for how you light up many lives, Lisa!

    Your Brother in Christ!
