Ways to Reach Out to Lisa During Her Illness

August 20th, 2013

As many of you know, Lisa Landis was hospitalized on June 26th with a serious bacterial infection.  Many of you have expressed interest in leaving a message for Lisa. This page would be a great way to do that. Simply leave your reply to this message and we will pass your well-wishes along to Lisa and her family.

Some listeners and organizations have also asked about organizing a Get Well card shower for Lisa.  If your church or organization or family is interested in doing that you can send your cards to WJTL, 1875 Junction Road, Manheim, PA 17545 Attn: Lisa Landis, and we will pass them along to Lisa and her family as well.

Additionally, many have been asking about ways to help Lisa during her lengthy illness and Hospital Stay. If you would like to help with Lisa’s Medical & Rehabilitation Expenses, a special fund has been set up.  Please send your gift to…

FULTON BANK: MCGOVERN AVENUE
20 MCGOVERN AVE.
LANCASTER, PA 17602

Please Indicate on your check that this is for the
LISA LANDIS BLOWERS FUND

or call or visit the FULTON BANK branch nearest you.

Thank You!

    Dear Lisa! We’ve been praying for you the last few days! While we were listening to KCB this morning, our 4 year old daughter heard that you were sick & also heard the announcer say that you needed prayer. I was thinking about you & what you must be going through (5 surgeries!!), but didn’t really think about how the comment my daughter heard affected her. After about a minute of silence, she told me she had been praying for you like the announcer asked her to. You’ll continue to be in our thoughts & prayers!

    Lisa

    Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30, NIV). Praying that Jesus will carry this burden for you and give you rest.

    So incredibly sorry to hear about what you are facing right now, Lisa! Looking at this from an earthly perspective is terrifying, so it is important to stay in the spiritual realm as much as possible. Others prayers can do this for you if you are weak right now. You are loved by so many people who are lifting you up. I pray for complete healing, a peace that passes all understanding, and joy. Yes, joy!

  22. July 7th, 2013 at 07:47 | #22

    Our family is storming the gates of heaven for you, Lisa, and for your family. Prayers for healing, strength and grace. God will bring you through this and will find a way to use it for a greater good. My daughter, Shannon, is a living tribute to the power of prayer. Once a very sick baby not expected to live, Shannon has grown into a healthy young woman … by the grace of God and through the power of prayer and letting go. Father Mychal Judge’s prayer sustains us, even today. (FDNY Chaplain who perished on 9/11, our family’s dear friend) “Lord, take me where You want me to go. Let me meet who You want me to meet. Tell me what You want me to say. And keep me out of Your way.” I am also a firm believer in the power of the prayers of children and have all of my children praying each day, several times throughout the day, and night for you. May you feel the strength of the many prayers being offered for you.

    Dear Lisa,
    I just read about your condition in the Sunday News and have a bit of information that I’d like to pass along to you. I have been seeing a doctor in Columbia, Md. who does MAH (Major Autohemotherapy), also called Ozone Therapy. It is a procedure that is often combined with the use of Ultraviolet Light Therapy. The iterature on this therapy describes how incredibly effective it is on resistant bacterial strains. And the procedure is simply with no side effects. I would be happy to give you the contact information for this doctor. He is an MD as well as an ENT surgeon. I’m praying for you as well, and know the Lord holds you in the palm of His hand.

    I’m lifting you up to the One who is holding and caring for you and your family during this trial. Prayers for complete recovery, comfort and peace. I am sure that you continue to touch those around you in the name of Jesus. I can’t wait to hear you back on the air on my morning commute (miss your banter with Phredd), and on the Kids Cookie Break (Yes, there are some BIG kids out there who listen and sing along on Saturday mornings). Stay Strong! You are Loved!

But the privilege of doing so for u was the only way we knew we could help. Praise our Almighty God for the complete recovery right around the corner!! Love you both!

    Lisa, we’ve been praying for you and have shared with many prayer warriors across the nation who are also praying for you! This is TRUTH: Zephaniah 3: 15-17 “The Lord has removed the judgment against you;
    he has turned back your enemy. Israel’s king, the Lord, is in your midst! You no longer need to fear disaster.
    16 On that day they will say to Jerusalem, “Don’t be afraid, Zion! Your hands must not be paralyzed from panic! 17 The Lord your God is in your midst..
    He is a warrior who can deliver.
    He takes great delight in you;
    He renews you by his love;
    He shouts for joy over you.”

    Our hearts are with you! We are grateful for the updates, because you have come into our homes for years and become part of our lives. You are greatly loved!

    Hi Lisa. My family has been praying for you since we 1st heard your news. I know you may not remember, but my son, Joshua was SO THRILLED to finally meet you at the Kid’s Cookie Break Fest (when he finally met you, he was so shocked that Lisa Landis was right in front of him, he just stared at you:) and he talks all the time about how much he loves you! We all love you! My husband (Larry Wilson) says he knows you and your husband from attending the same church in the past. Just wanted to tell you that we love you, we miss you on the radio (though those filling in for you are doing an OUTSTANDING job:), and we are praying for your complete healing!!! The song comes to my mind:I will worship while I’m waiting…May God strengthen you both physically and spiritually while you wait!. God Bless You, Lisa:)

    I just met your mother a little over a month ago at the Lake Wynonah Craft Fair. I just moved to the lake in April. She was so nice to me and made me feel so welcomed to this new community. My son-in-law Mike runs the Kutztown University Radio Station. so we both had family in radio!

    I am praying for your complete recovery! I want to share my favorite verse with you, Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

    Just wanted John and Lisa to know how I have prayed and thought of them every day since hearing of their struggles. My friendship goes back to our college days and though we lost touch cuz “life happens” which has led us not to be in touch much but there are just some folks that stay with you for many years past in thoughts…Lisa is that kind of unique kind hearted gal that just makes you glad she touched your life even if “way back in the day”.

    Dear Lisa: I am so sorry to hear of this painful experience you are now facing. May the love of Jesus surround you, uplift you, encourage you, secure you, flood all your doubts, all your worries, all your fears. May God draw you nearer and nearer to His perfect AGAPE love so you experience His comfort, His healing, His strength, His Holy Presence even sweeter and sweeter every moment!!! You are in the “hollow” of His hand, and no one nor nothing can take you out of there. He is who He says He is, He will do what He says He will do, you are who He says you are, you can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens you, God’s Word is living and active in you….. let’s BELIEVE GOD!!!!! His righteousness will be peace and the fruit of His righteousness will quietness and confidence forever!!!! I’m lifting my faith shield with yours, Lisa and knowing our God will not delay, He is our refuge and strength! And we need not fear, His promises are true because He swore them upon HIS HOLY NAME!!!! Amen and Amen in the strong Name of Jesus!!

    Lisa,
    I want you to know that you have the body of Christ standing with you! We continue to pray for you, your family, and all of you. I am sure this has not been easy on the WJTL staff also. We lifted you up in prayer at Worship Center over the weekend. Allow the church family to “hold your arms up” as they did Moses, when you feel you cannot on your own. May God protect you emotionally as well, during this time. We are with you!

    Lisa,

    My wife had been in the hospital at the U of PENN for a day when we heard about your condition. (she was in for a scheduled surgery) Then we heard you were moved to the same hospital. As I walked throughout the hospital, I could easily remember to pray for you along with my wife since you were also here. As we are ready to be released today, I wish you were in a condition that we could stop in a see you. But we are continuing to pray for God’s complete healing and grace to be imparted to you and your family!! God be with you!!
