Ways to Reach Out to Lisa During Her Illness

August 20th, 2013

As many of you know, Lisa Landis was hospitalized on June 26th with a serious bacterial infection.  Many of you have expressed interest in leaving a message for Lisa. This page would be a great way to do that. Simply leave your reply to this message and we will pass your well-wishes along to Lisa and her family.

Some listeners and organizations have also asked about organizing a Get Well card shower for Lisa.  If your church or organization or family is interested in doing that you can send your cards to WJTL, 1875 Junction Road, Manheim, PA 17545 Attn: Lisa Landis, and we will pass them along to Lisa and her family as well.

Additionally, many have been asking about ways to help Lisa during her lengthy illness and Hospital Stay. If you would like to help with Lisa’s Medical & Rehabilitation Expenses, a special fund has been set up.  Please send your gift to…

FULTON BANK: MCGOVERN AVENUE
20 MCGOVERN AVE.
LANCASTER, PA 17602

Please Indicate on your check that this is for the
LISA LANDIS BLOWERS FUND

or call or visit the FULTON BANK branch nearest you.

Thank You!

Dear Lisa, My family and I have been praying for your complete healing daily! I heard Fred mention this morning on the radio that you were listening in by way of the internet. I thought, “that’s so awesome!”. I heard of your up coming reconstructive surgery tomorrow. We will definitely be praying for that. We also lift up your family before the throne of grace. How awesome is our God. It’s been a blessing to hear your voice on the radio all these years (I’ve been listening since I was a kid.) and me and my family still continue to listen now.

You’ll continue to be in our prayers. Lord bless you!!

    Lisa,
You don’t know us, but WJTL and your ministry there has blessed my family so much since moving to Lancaster – thanks for ALL your hard work there through the years. It’s the BEST Christian radio station we have ever encountered!
Now we hope to bless you with prayers for God’s grace and healing as you battle this illness. May you sense the Lord’s presence and protection and strong arms around you each day. He loves you beyond all you can imagine and is fighting with you. He will never leave you.
    Exodus 14: 14
The Lord will fight for you; you need only be still.
    With prayers,
Dr. Mark & Lavonne Johnston & family

Hi Lisa, I’ve been following your journey from PNG! Psalm 73:26 meant so much to me when I was recovering from my accident…it has even a little more literal meaning now. “My flesh and my heart may fail, BUT GOD is the strength of my heart and my portion forever!” I know many people miss your sunny voice on the radio…wish I could hear it over here. Praying for God’s healing and strength in the coming weeks and months. Love, Kim

Hi Lisa! I am a longtime listener to WJTL and recently started following WJTL on Facebook. As soon as I heard about your condition, I immediately began praying for you and your family. I follow your progress daily and continue to pray for you. I am currently living and working in Ireland so God is receiving prayers on your behalf from all over the world.
About 5 years ago my son had a very bad car accident. He was airlifted to Hershey med and had many surgeries over the next year. Most of his damage was to his left hand. He basically had total reconstruction of his hand – nerve transfers, muscle transfers, skin grafts etc. it was a long year but we all made it through. He had 2 fingers amputated (during his senior year in high school) and hand reconstruction but he survived and is doing well! No matter how difficult it seems at the time, it will get better. You have so many people praying for you and your family! You will get through this and be an even stronger person afterwards! Blessings to you and your family!

Hoping for a good outcome from surgery! Mandie

    Lisa,

I’ve been reading each time I’m on FB about your progress. Just before I came to the update today – about your 7 hour reconstructive surgery – I was reading one of Kirk Cameron’s blurb’s about his new movie ‘Unstoppable’, in which he tries to answer the question ‘Why do bad things happen to good people’, or – ‘If there’s a God, let alone a God that loves us so intimately and personally, why does he allow all the pain and suffering in our world. I then remembered Job – and the enemy wanting to temp job to ‘show’ God that it’s easy to have followers when things are going good, but what if things were to go so horribly wrong for a man of God that has done nothing wrong. God said ‘Go ahead – do what you wish – but just don’t kill him. I’m thankful God chose you for this journey, and told Satan ‘do as you wish – just don’t kill her. You have always been such an inspiration, and it reminds me the things that happen are ordered by God, and as He is omnipotent, we aren’t to question why, as He can give and take according to His will and purposes, and ultimately for His plan and glory. I don’t know what your personal thoughts are on what has been happening to you, but it’s all in His plan, and you are handling it with every bit of grace available to you every morning new, I have no doubt 🙂 We’ve never met, but I’d know your voice anywhere :). Get well soon. Maura Jenkins
