Poiema Visual Arts’ “Summer Art Surprise!” (York, PA)

June 25th, 2022 No comments

Hey kids! Did you know that God loves you? He made you and loves when you are creative! At Poiema Visual Arts, we love when you are creative, too!

Join us this summer for our FREE Summer Art Surprise, a kid-focused art activity. We invite you to pick up an art grab bag to take home with you or stay and create with our volunteers. We will be focusing on planting seeds of kindness together as we create custom flower seed packets and a garden marker. We can’t wait to see your designs!

This event is happening concurrently with Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene’s event, The Table.

Parents: We are excited to serve your family through these free events. Please be aware that children must be accompanied by an adult and a waiver-of-liability form must be signed for participation at the event. To help us bless as many children as possible, grab bags are limited to one per child on a first come, first serve basis.

Winning Wednesday: “Shepherding A Child’s Heart”

November 5th, 2013 No comments

This weekend, Community Fellowship in Lancaster is hosting Dr. Tedd Tripp for a Parenting Conference!  Click here for conference information and to get tickets.  This is a conference for parents with children of all ages.  The major theme is that the heart is the wellspring of life.  Since behavior is heart-driven, it cannot be understood or addressed in isolation from the heart.  In this seminar, he will share that instead of parenting by control and punishment, guidance, understanding of a child’s nature, and positive support are a much more effective approach to being a mom and dad.
