Mount Joy Memorial Day Parade, happening this Saturday, May 28th.

The WJTL Suburban and Cookie Car are ready to go,
we have a music mix that will keep you dancing!
Be sure to say hi as we go by!

The parade steps off at 2:00.

5 Construction Zone for Learning – Family Style tomorrow (Saturday, May 28) from 10:30am-noon at the Lancaster Public Library West – Mountville Branch.  Construct a building, a new gadget, or a robot with a variety of building materials. 4 Columbia Memorial Day Parade,  Sunday (May 29) starting at 2:30 pm. The parade commemorates America’s war veterans. Bands, floats, special cars and trucks and a speaker from the military prior to the parade.More Info: http://lancasterpa.com/memorial-day-weekend-events/

3 The Mount Joy Memorial Day Parade tomorrow (Sat. May 28) beginning at 2pm.Look for WJTL! The Mount Joy parade has become a well known Memorial Day Parade in Lancaster County, with its origin in the late 1800’s. More Info: http://www.mountjoychamber.com/event/memorial-day-parade/

2 9th Annual For One Life Softball Tournament & Community Weekend tonight and tomorrow (Friday, May 27 & Saturday, 28) at Salisbury Township Park (aka Gap Park) The 30-team softball tournament runs from 11am-10pm today and 7am-9pm on Saturday. There will also be a concert Friday night at 7pm by Conrad Fisher & His Band and Saturday and on Saturday at 10am by Phredd and at 1pm by ventriliquist and comedian Ryan & Friends. 1 12th Annual Fireman’s Festival and Country Cruise tomorrow (Sat. May 28) from 8am-1pm at Oregon Dairy in Lititz. Over a hundred classic and vintage cars and awards for the best in show. Lots of activities for families and kids, including fire engine rides, door prizes, Jump Pad, and a Pancake Breakfast on the Oregon Dairy Deck. Free to attend, food available for purchase.

5) Bethany Christian Services 5K Walk and Run, tomorrow (May 23) from 8am – noon at The Junction Center in Manheim. All proceeds support the Safe Families for Children ministry of Bethany Christian Services of Central PA. The run is professionally timed. Lisa and the Kids Cookie Break Broadcasting Live! 4) Celebrate Fourth Friday at the Susquehanna River Towns of Columbia, Marietta, and Wrightsville, tonight (Friday, May 22) from 5-9pm. 3) Jazz on the Hill tonight (Fri. May 22) from 5-8pm at Lincoln Middle School in Lancaster featuring the Lincoln Middle School Jazz Band & Jazz Chorus, JP McCaskey High School Jazz Band, Burrowes Elementary Musicians Plus an Art Show by Lincoln Middle School Students.

Memorial Day Weekend – May 24-27, 2013

5) Fourth Friday Mount Joy, tonight (Friday, May 24) 5-8pm food, prizes, art, music and  Bobby Wehner in concert at the Aspire Community Center Mount Joy. More info: Mainstreetmountjoy.com

4) Carlisle Memorial Day Parade, Monday (May 27th) beginning at 9am at Hanover St. and ending at High Street. The Carlisle Memorial Day Parade features trucks, floats, bands and many local organizations. More info: 717 226-1966

3) Free Coffee House at Enola First Church of God in  Enola tonight,(Fri. May 24)  at 7pm, Featuring “Heartsong”.   Refreshments will be served.  A freewill offering will be received.

2) Strasburg Memorial Day Parade and Memorial Service,  Mon. May 27th. The parade begins at 9am. Colonel Stuart Roop, a 1984 graduate of Lampeter-Strasburg High School and a West Point graduate, will be the keynote speaker at the memorial service.  He is currently the Chief of Medicine at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.  There will also be a Hotdog Picnic following the parade at First Presbyterian Church in Strasburg.  More info: www.co.lancaster.pa.us/strasburg_boro
