Easter Sunrise Service & Breakfast

Join us for a special Easter Sunrise Service on the beautiful grounds of the Conestoga House & Gardens (just down the road from Grace Baptist Church).
This is something new for us, and we hope you will plan to make it a part of your Easter celebration as we worship the risen Savior, Jesus Christ!

IMPORTANT: Onsite parking is very limited, so everyone is asked to meet at Grace Baptist Church for transportation. [Please park in the East/Office lot to meet the shuttle van(s).]
For those attending the sunrise service, we’ll return to the church afterward for breakfast.

20/20 Insight-Focus on God’s Faithfulness

JOHN SHIRK – In the Year of Vision, today’s 20/20 Insight focuses on God’s faithfulness.

Lamentations 3:22 says, “Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” I say to myself, ‘The LORD is my portion; therefore, I will wait for him.’ The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him.”

In the morning, some people see a sunrise. In his view of the sunrise, the writer of Lamentations saw more. He saw hope in the Lord. He was reminded of the faithfulness of God.

Focusing on God’s faithfulness gives us greater clarity for living out the Christian faith.

Freedom Phrase-New Start

JOHN SHIRK -In the Year of Redemption, today’s Freedom Phrase is based on Lamentations 3:22 and 23.

“Because of the LORD’s great love, we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

God’s faithful love for us is written in the sky each morning with the reliable appearance of the sunrise. Even as the sunrise breaks the darkness of the night, so the grace of God has the power to break the spiritual strongholds in our lives that keep us in the darkness.

While his people were living in captivity, the writer of Lamentations was comforted by the compassion of God to be their source of light and hope.

Through Jesus, we are set free to receive a new start for a brighter day.

Reason To Believe-Sunrise

JOHN SHIRK – In the Year of Exploration, today’s Reason to Believe is the sunrise.

We do not wonder if the sun will rise in the morning or ponder which hour it will appear over the eastern horizon. We might wonder if we will arise on time, but we don’t question the timing of the sunrise.

God’s faithfulness is compared to a daily sunrise. Yes, we might have questions about our own faithfulness at times, but God’s faithfulness is a quality that we can depend on. As we look to God and come under His influence, He will enable us to become more faithful.

Lamentations 3:22 gives us this reason not just to believe in God, but to also have hope in Him. “Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “

Just like the sunrise, the LORD is faithful. He sent Jesus to the world at just the right time when we needed a Savior. And when the time is right, Jesus will appear again to gather His followers into His heavenly kingdom.

The faithful appearance of the sunrise is a reason to believe in God’s good news.
