Sights on Summer FREE Community Funday!

FREE Movie Event

No Longer Alone Ministries is hosting its 3rd annual Spring Movie Event on Thursday, May 10 at the Wolfe Auditorium at Brethren Village.

This event, held during Mental Health Awareness month, will present the one hour documentary, Mind/Game: The Unquiet Story of Chamique Holdsclaw. As a professional WNBA player who was diagnosed with depression and bipolar illness, Chamique was able to turn her story into a message of powerful advocacy for all who are touched by mental illness. This free public event will host two screenings of the film with an accompanying discussion – a matinee showing at 3pm and an evening showing at 6pmRegistration is required.

Free Coffee House

Cumberland Valley Christian Annual Spring Cantata

The Cumberland Valley Christian Choir will present their 16th annual spring cantata, Our Faithful God, at Elizabethtown BIC Church in Elizabethtown on Sunday, April 22 at 6:30 pm. All are welcome to this free concert in the church’s newly constructed sanctuary.

Now in its sixteenth season, the choir performs free concerts at a select number of venues to benefit a ministry organization through a freewill offering. This year’s spring cantata will benefit Samaritan’s Purse Puerto Rico hurricane relief.

TCCCA Earth Day Celebration

Join the fun at the free Conewago Creek Earth Day Celebration on the banks of the creek at Aberdeen Mills, Saturday, April 21st from 12 pm to 4 pm. There will be many fun and informative activities throughout the afternoon including live animals, guided walks, refreshments, and giveaways. Special presentations include Zoo America, wildflower walks, fish surveys, electro-fishing and more!


This is the tenth year of this fun, free, family oriented event, thanks to sponsorship from the Tri-County Conewago Creek Association (TCCCA) and the hospitality of Aberdeen Mills, a historic mill and farmstead in Elizabethtown. The watershed organization will be offering food items for sale with the proceeds benefiting TCCCA. Attendees can go home with free wildflower seeds or a native tree seedling. The rain date is April 22nd, with all other times remaining the same.


Tree planting starts at 9 am. Volunteers will receive a free meal from the food stand!

A wildflower and tree identification walk will kick off at 12 pm.

Tours through the old mill will also be offered.

Zoo America will be giving a live animal presentation at 1 pm. Feel free to bring along a lawn chair or blanket, if you prefer to sit during the show.

The Lancaster County Conservation District will give an electro-fishing demonstration at 3 pm.


TCCCA and Aberdeen Mills are part of the Conewago Creek Initiative, a partnership working collectively to restore water quality in the Conewago watershed.  Visit to learn more.
