JOHN SHIRK – In the Year of Vision, today’s 20/20 Insight focuses on Paul’s vision of a man in Macedonia.
It happened in Acts, Chapter 16. Paul and his traveling companions were trying to preach the word in Asia, but the Holy Spirit kept them from entering. During the night, Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and begging him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” After Paul had seen the vision, they got ready to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called them to preach the gospel to them.
This marked the advance of the Gospel into Europe. God had used this vision to redirect Paul’s missionary journey. God may close doors to our plans in order to open other doors of opportunity later. That is what he did through Paul’s vision in Acts 16.
Focusing on God’s agenda for our lives gives us greater clarity for living out the Christian life.

It’s also equips students so they can get involved! Vision 14 will include worship with Chuck Gibson, sessions with speaker Ken Ketayama and an evening concert featuring The Neverclaim. Students and youth leaders will also get to choose breakout sessions, which include topics like ministry at school, using business to fight poverty, hip hop & heart worship, using sports to impact the world and responding to trafficking.
