FIVE FUN FREE FAMILY THINGS TO DO THIS WEEKEND!!! October 31 and November 1 & 2 2014

5. Daybreak Church is hosting a community “Trunk-or-Treat” event tonight (Friday, October 31) from 6:30-8:30pm.  Decorate & fill your car trunk w/candy & pass it out. The event will be held in the parking lot of the York County School of Technology, South Queen St in York. There will be bounce houses, balloon animals, prizes and more. Come in friendly costumes.  Admission will be free, but donations of non-perishable items will be collected to benefit the York Rescue Mission.

4. Dove Oasis Fellowship Fall Festival, Tonight (Friday October 31) from 6-8pm, Main Street, in Akron. Food, hot and cold cider, hot chocolate, bobbing for apples, games, prizes and more! Festival is for all ages. More Info: 717-859-5415.

3.  Halloween Alternative tonight (Friday Oct. 31) from 6-8pm at Forest Hills Mennonite Church in Leola.  Geared for children through 6th grade. This is not a costume event. The evening will feature a bounce house, a cardboard box maze, carnival-style games, wagon rides, homemade soft pretzels, and each child will be given a bag of treats to take home.  More Info:

2. 2014 Petra Fall Fest, tonight (Friday, Oct. 31) from 5-9pm at Petra Christian Fellowship.  Carnival games, hay rides, inflatables, bonfires, crafts, lots of food, and more! Everything is free. The rain date is Saturday, November 1, from 3 to 7 p.m.  More Info:

THE EASTLAND ALPACAS 12th ANNUAL FALL OPEN HOUSE, tomorrow (Saturday November 1) 10-4 KCB Broadcasting live from 9-noon with FREE goodies including Chick-Fil-A Chocolate Chip Cookies!  Win prizes, request songs and play with the Alpacas!  Come and See, Feed or Even Lead the Alpacas.  Take a Wagon Ride Around the Farm and watch Obstacle course demonstration with the alpacas. It is time once again for the TOP 500 COUNTDOWN!!!

WJTL is celebrating 30 years of ministry this year. One of our most popular on-air events during our history has been TheTop 500 Countdown as voted by our listeners.

What are your 5 favorite Christian Songs of ALL TIME? Check the WJTL Playlist, google, research and then click here to log your vote.  Put them in order from 1 to 5 because your top song gets more points than your fifth.

Voting begins TODAY (Monday, October 20th) and will end at midnight on Sunday, November 9, 2014. Each Friday in between (October 24, 31 and November 7) we will draw winners from those who have voted. By voting you will also be eligible for prizes given away during the On Air countdown of the Top 500.

Then, be sure to tune in the afternoon of Tuesday, November 18th thru Thursday night November 20 as we countdown the Top 500 from 500 to 1 as voted by the WJTL Family of Listeners.

5. The AACA Eastern Divisional Antique Car Show, tomorrow, (Saturday, October 11) from dawn to dusk on the grounds of the Giant Center and the parking lots surrounding Hersheypark. One of the largest collection of Antique Cars in the world – Over 1200 cars and 3000 vendors. Free to attenders. More info:

4. Haldeman Mansion Apple Fall Festival, Sunday (October 12) noon – 4pm on the grounds of the Haldeman Mansion, Locust Grove Rd in Bainbridge. Mansion Tours, Apple Cider Press, contests, live music and a visit by Johnny Appleseed, plus Apple-themed food & refreshments. The event is free, though there is a fee for parking.

Kids Cookie Break Fest 14 Details

The 3rd Annual Kids Cookie Break Fest is tomorrow (Saturday, Aug 30). It is amazing to be celebrating 15 Years of The Kids Cookie Break Program on WJTL.

Here are a few things for those of you who will be attending…
Gates will open at 9am for those of you with Morning Program Tickets (please don’t come any earlier than that, we won’t be ready for you and you will have to wait). Gates will open at 2:30pm for those of you with Afternoon Program Tickets.

The Junction Center is located at 1875 Junction Rd, Manheim, on the backside of Roots Market and down the road from the Manheim Auto Auction.

Please remember to bring DIAPERS, WIPES, and/or FORMULA to donate to Susquehanna Valley Pregnancy Services and House of His Creation.  Donations will be collected at popup tents located near each parking area. Thank You!
Please have everyone fill out their registration ticket. Tickets will be collected at popup tents located near each parking area.Only those with tickets will be able to attend. We will draw names from the tickets to win prizes throughout the event.
For those who pre-purchased boxed lunches for the Morning Program, they may be picked up between 11am and 1pm in the food court. For those who pre-purchased boxed lunches for the Afternoon Program they may be picked up between 5pm and 6:30pm in the food court. There will be other food and beverage vendors on site.
