Hooray for Summer Contest

Trips to the beach, picnics and flip flops are just a few of the things that make us love this season! WJTL wants to give you even more reasons to love summer with our new Hooray For Summer Contest!  

We’re giving prize bundles away all summer long.  Each includes 2 CDs from our Summer Prize Stash, a stainless steel WJTL water bottle, and a pair of hand-spun milkshakes from Chick-fil-A. Plus, everyone who wins is entered into the grand prize drawing, where 3 winners will score the grand prize: a pair of hot air balloon rides with the US Hot Air Balloon Team!

5 The Ephrata Concert Band in concert on Sunday (July 23) at 7:15pm at the band shell at the foot of Cocalico Street in Ephrata Borough’s Grater Park. Bring folding chairs. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will take place inside the Ephrata Recreation Center.

A Written In Kings Winning Wednesday

Welsh rock pop band, Written In Kings is next in the lineup to play Junction Center Landis Hall! Adventurous and passionate, this band has a heart to serve communities worldwide and change the atmosphere wherever they go. They’re on their first US tour, which already made a stop at Creation Festival East—and they’re coming our way next. They’ll take the stage at Junction Center Landis Hall next Wednesday, July 26th at 7:30 p.m. Since setting foot in the states, the guys have had their first taste of Chick-fil-A, and are fans! That’s why the first 200 people in attendance at this concert will be happily handed a free Chick-fil-A sandwich (courtesy of Chick-fil-A Lancaster)! 5 The 4th annual Civil War Living History Encampment of the 2nd Pennsylvania Cavalry/59th Regiment Volunteer Company D, today (Friday, June 23) noon-4pm tomorrow (Saturday, June 24) 10am-3pm and Sunday (June 25) noon to 4pm. The living history event happens on the grounds of the Robert Fulton Birthplace, Robert Fulton Highway, in Quarryville. Visitors to the grounds will be immersed in American history during the 1860s.
Soldiers and citizens of the era will recount stories, demonstrate skills, and re-enact daily life, both on and off the battlefield. The event is free, but donations are appreciated, and benefit the Solanco Historical Society and the Robert Fulton Birthplace. More Info: SouthernLancasterHistory.org

4 Carousel Organ and Calliope display and concert at Shupp’s Grove Antique Market, Adamstown, tomorrow (Saturday, June 24) and Sunday (June 25) 7am-4pm.
