Reverberate 2023

Reverberate will be taking place on Sunday, September 17th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm (with food trucks opening at 4:00 pm) in beautiful Long’s Park, and we want you to be a part of it. It is a one-night, free event full of unity, fellowship, and praise. There will be praise and worship led by the worship teams of Lancaster Evangelical Free Church, Reality Church, Westminster Presbyterian Church, and Bright Side Baptist Church. Come out and see how God is working in our community.

2014 Talent Challenge Winners

We had a blast at the 61st Sertoma Chicken BBQ!  The weather was beautiful, the chicken was delicious and the entertainment on the Weaver’s Garage Stage was unbeatable!  (Click here to see our photos from the day.)

Congratulations to the Top 3 winners in the 2014 Talent Challenge, as voted by the audience:

1st Place: Super Marimbros, William and Caleb (marimba players)

2nd Place: The Sentimentals (a cappella vocal ensemble)

3rd Place: Sarah, Faith, Carter  (Irish Dancers)

Five Fun Free Family Things to do This Weekend

5) Tonight (Friday May 17) from 7-9:30pm at the Community Room on Prince in Lancaster – a Film Screening of the movie Blue Like Jazz followed by discussion around the themes within the movie.  Blue Like Jazz is adapted from the book by author Donald Miller and Produced and Directed by Steve Taylor. 4) Children of the World Choir will perform at Linville Hill School, Kinzer Rd., Paradise, Sunday evening, (May 19) at 7pm.   The choir is made up of disadvantaged and orphaned children from several countries around the globe.  More info: 717.687.5118

3) Emazing Grace (Emily & Grace) who have a song on the KCB4 cd, will be playing Christian Bluegrass on Sunday evening (May 19)7pm at the Church of God of Landisville.  A free will offering will be taken for the band. More info: 717-898-8144

2) Freedom Fun Fair tomorrow(Saturday, May 18)10am-2pm at Lebanon Valley Bible Church on the front lawn, Horseshoe Pike, Lebanon. Free Food, face painting, Angry Birds Booth, bounce houses, and more. More info: lvbiblechurch.org

1) 60th Annual Sertoma Chicken Barbecue, tomorrow (Saturday, May 18) 10am-6pm at Long’s Park, Lancaster – Kids Cookie Break Broadcasting Live, Concerts on the Weaver’s Garage Stage by Dan and Lauren Smith Band, Jeremiah Coyne Band, The Talent Challenge and more. Proceeds from the Chicken Barbecue meals benefits Long’s Park and it’s many benefits to kids and the community. More info: lancastersertomabbq.com

2013 Talent Challenge

We’re on the lookout for talented WJTL listeners–we know you’re out there!  We want to see and hear your talents.  We encourage musicians to enter, but the WJTL Talent Challenge is wide open to any skill that has the potential to impress, entertain or amuse our crowd at Sertoma!  Individual performers and groups may enter.  10 contestants will be chosen to perform their talent on the Weaver’s Garage Stage at the 60th annual Sertoma Chicken BBQ in Long’s Park in Lancaster on Saturday, May 18th (in the afternoon).  Then, the audience gets to vote on their favorite performer–and we’ll award Visa Gift Cards to the Top 3!  $500 for 1st place, $250 for 2nd place and $100 for 3rd place.

HOW TO ENTER:

Email your .mp3,  movie file or You Tube link to Contest@WJTL.com or mail your CD or DVD to WJTL, 1875 Junction Road, Manheim, PA 17545.  (Drop-offs must be during office hours: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. weekedays.) Be sure to tell us a little about yourself and your talent when you enter and include your contact information in your entry. Contest entry material (including CDs, DVDs, photos, etc.) will not be returned.  There are no age restrictions, but kids under 18 must have their parents’ permission before entering.

The deadline to enter is midnight on Tuesday, May 07, 2013.  We’ll announce the 10 contestants on the air during the 5:00 p.m. hour on Friday, May 10, 2013. (Contestants will also be contacted directly by WJTL.)
