Running with Wolves Virtual Race

The Pennsylvania Dutch Council and Wolf Sanctuary of PA are holding the 2021 Running with Wolves Virtual 5K Race and 15K Bike Race.

A virtual race can be started from any location you choose so long as you are following the social distancing guidelines during June 1-15. For the 5K you can run/walk on the road, trail, treadmill, or on a track. The 15K Bike race can be done on the road, trail, or a stationary bike.

The race is $15 per registration and each paid registrant will receive a patch to commemorate the race. Half the proceeds of the race will go to help improve enclosures and provide daily needs and veterinary care for the wolves and wolf-dogs of the sanctuary. Wolf Sanctuary of PA has provided a home for displaced wolves and wolf-dogs since 1980 and they currently have over 50 residents in their care.

Family Day on the Farm & Gala

Port Deposit, MD, April 11, 2021– Freedom Hills Therapeutic Riding Program will be having our annual Family Day at the Farm on Sunday May 2nd from 1pm to 5pm. All are welcome to attend. Activities will include nationally known gospel singer Dave Read. There will also be a Silent Auction, Pony Rides, Pony Grooming, Riding Demonstrations, Games for both children and adults, Youth Art Contest, Food Vendors and Much More. Vendor Spaces are available.

Spring Bloom at the Farm

The place to be is on the farm for the Spring Bloom at Flinchbaugh’s Orchard – a fresh outdoor vendor shopping experience. Complimenting your visit will be local artistic wares and decor, along with wine, flavorful food concessions, educational gardening segments, entertainment, and May Day games (supported by local school PTO’s).
Admission is free.  Come prepared to enjoy the atmosphere, good food, entertainment and local artisans.

Drive-Thru Breakfast with the Easter Bunny

Are you looking for a fun way to start celebrating Easter this year with your family? Want to have a hot breakfast with your kids and a chance to meet the Easter Bunny? Please join us at Faith United Methodist Church at 1290 Fruitville Pike, Lititz, PA on Saturday, March 27th! We’re holding a drive-thru breakfast from 8am-10am. Simply drive into our parking lot off of Koser Rd and you will be met by friendly masked and gloved team members who will guide you through our procedure. Meet the Easter Bunny from the comfort of your own vehicle with an interactive scavenger hunt and a treat and take-home activities from the Bunny! Pre-orders highly suggested, but we will accept drive-ups as quantities last. Breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, syrup, and fun toppings. Cost is by donation. Pre- order by March 24th and choose a preferred pick up-time of 8am-9am or 9am-10am. You may pre-order by calling 717-560-0321 or emailing faithumc@hotmail.com. Donations to the fundraiser may be made on our website, www.FaithUMC.us by clicking on “Online Giving” and scrolling down to fundraiser/Breakfast with the Easter Bunny or you can make a donation in the basket when you pick up your meal. Road to Bethlehem

Road to Bethlehem is an Outdoor Live Nativity — Drive Thru presentation, showcasing various scenes, characters and live animals depicting the birth of our Savior.

Hop in the car with the kids, pets and get comfy as you drive through our luminary lit Live Nativity while seasonal music plays in the background and on your radio when tuned into 87.9 FM!

This year, our indoor portion of the event will not be taking place.

This is a free event. Donations of non-perishable food items, household and personal care items and monetary contributions will be accepted to benefit, “Hearts for Hunger”.

Fall Event at Hunt’s Christmas Tree Farm

Every year we offer the opportunity for families to visit the farm before the official season begins to tag their Christmas tree for the holidays (cut & purchased during the regular season).

This is our 2nd Annual Fall Event at HCT & we’re so excited!

On October 3rd: come tag your Christmas tree, walk through the fields, sit around the bonfire and find the various photo opportunities for you & the family throughout the fields!

Santa’s mailbox will be at the farm this year so kids can mail their letters in time for Christmas!
Refreshments will be available for purchase!

We know dogs are apart of the family too! Feel free to bring your pups along for this outdoor event! We just ask that all dogs are leashed & cleaned up after.

We hope to see you all there!
