Youth Group Night is BACK!

August 20th, 2015 No comments

It’s that time again. Youth Group Night is back and we’re reloading the CD stash because this go-around we’re ready to have fun!

Once a month, two local youth groups will spend a Thursday evening at The Junction Center — the home of WJTL. You will learn about radio production, rate music, and talk OnAir with Radio Friend Phil!

But that’s not all… Youth Group Night concludes with Chick-fil-A sandwiches and cookies. Plus you’ll leave with your very own YGN T-shirt designed by Walk In Love.

Youth Group Night is sponsored by Refreshing Mountain – A Christ Centered Retreat & Adventure Center in Northern Lancaster County.

To enter a youth group, click the link and fill out the required information.

November is National Adoption Awareness Month and WJTL will be celebrating by broadcasting live from Penn Cinema as The Adoption Coalition of Lancaster County host their second annual Free Movie Night. Join the WJTL Road Crew on Thursday, November 7th for two adoption themed movies – Annie and Despicable Me. The doors open 6pm and the movies begin at 6:30pm. Rain Rain Rain: Day Two

June 27th, 2013 2 comments

Day two brought rain and a river that ran through our tent.  Though it sounds dreary, the day as a whole was equally as good as day one.  My six frisbees were gone within a hour of people guessing the #1 condiment in the US.  Some said ketchup, others said mayo, but the correct answer was mustard.  Did you get it right?  Before the rain came, the people came in waves to be considered for the two hot air balloon tickets; our tent was packed.  But only one person could be the winner and that person was Gabrielle Capper of Altoona, Pa.  Congrats!

In this world there are universal things everybody loves: contemporary Christian music, Kristi Leigh, and free Chick-fil-A.  Tomorrow I will be giving away free Chick-fil-A for a year.  Yes, you read that right.  If you win tomorrow, you will be eating one Chick-fil-A sandwich, every week, until Creation 2014!  Besides free Chick-fil-A, I have t-shirts, cinch bags, and coffee mugs to give away.  But if you’ve learned anything from todays Frisbee giveaway, you’d know I love fun facts.  So here we go: The average hot dog is consumed in how many bites?  Guess correctly and you’ll be walking away with a t-shirt, coffee mug, or cinch bag.  Good luck!

Day One: An Adventure

June 26th, 2013 1 comment

God is moving at Creation 2013!  We spent the day hearing tales about what WJTL means to different listeners and the impact the station has on our community.  It was truly heart warming to hear God in the stories that were told.  We also gave away a boat load of wristbands and magnetic clips: they were like hot cakes, I tell ya.  Our Walk In Love gift basket found a home in the arms of Maddie Feiser of Havertown PA. Though the basket looked small it was full of great items from a great store.

Tomorrows giveaway is going to be two hot air balloon tickets courtesy of United States Hot Air Balloon Team. Also, I have six frisbees to give away. Beause the number is so small, I can not give them away willy nilly; I need something in return. So here it is: What is the #1 condiment in the US? The first six people to answer correctly will be throwing a WJTL frisbee with their new found friends! Good luck and good night to all!

Creation 2013: Here We Come!

June 25th, 2013 2 comments

Our duffel bags are packed with shorts, WJTL shirts, and sunscreen; Creation 2013 is less then a day away.  A Walk in love gift pack, two tickets from The US Hot Air Balloon Team and a WJTL prize pack, equipped with a soon to be autographed water bottle, are ready to be given away in our daily giveaways.  I hope you are as excited for Creation 2013 as the WJTL Creation Crew.  This year our tent can’t be missed and we have enough stickers to cover the Switchfoot bus twice over, (our goal is to give away as many as we can).  Along with the stickers, we have WJTL wristband, pencils, pens, clips, bags, and much more.  Plus, stop by daily for surprise giveaways that will be more spontaneous than Toby Mac’s stage show.  See ya tomorrow!
