Charity Motorcycle Ride & Community Day

Gravel Hill UMC invites you to join their 8th annual Cycles for Life Charity Motorcycle Ride on Saturday, September 23.  Registration begins at 9:00 am and ends at 10:45 pm.  The ride will leave the church at 11:00 am and arrive back at 2 pm.  It will be led by the Guardian Knights.  100% of all money raised will go to Katye’s Helping Hands. Free food before and after the ride will be available.  All riders will be eligible for door prize drawings. Gravel Hill UMC also invites you to a day filled with free family fun!  Free food featuring a pig roast, free vender booths, free games, free inflatables featuring a 60’ Obstacle Course, free balloons by Trist ‘n Shout Balloons, free door prize auction, a presentation by Zoo America, free music, and much more.    Join us for our 8th annual Community Day from 2-7:45 pm on Saturday, September 23rd.  Goodwill donations will be collected throughout with all proceeds going to local charities.  Thank you to Klick Lewis and other local businesses and organizations for their support and sponsorship!  For more information, visit www.ghcommunityday.org.

Homestead Day Festival

The Homestead Day Festival will feature activities designed to delight residents, family and friends. Scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Festival will feature entertainment for the whole family including games for children, delicious festival food, crafts, book sale, white elephant sale, and more! Chris Poje with be the interactive  DJ from   10-11, then Fred McNaughton will entertain from 11:15 to 12:15 with the Twin Rose Community Band ending up the day with some variety music.

There will be a bounce castle, the always well-received Benchfield Farms Wagonette Rides and Trist N Shout balloon art, all aimed to please children and the young at heart!  Homestead Day Festival is rain or shine, so mark your calendars and make it a “must attend” for your family and friends.  There is no fee to attend, but recommended to bring cash for games and food. http://www.homesteadvillage.org/community/events

Mercy CCPC’s Lovin’ Life 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk

Mercy CCPC of Reading, Pa will be hosting their annual Lovin’ Life 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, September 9.  5K race will  begin at 9:00 am and fun run/walk at 9:30. Kid’s Fest Games will be available for FREE for ages 2-10 which will include carnival games, face painting and more!!

The event will take place at the Wyomissing Trail and Quarry Soccer Fields.  If using a GPS use 100 West Lancaster Pike Wyomissing, Pa.
